Oral Communication in Context intends to expand the students' knowledge of the interactive process of communication that is central in the lives of people. Each lesson in this book is tiered from one level of understanding of oral communication to the next. Each unit utilizes the teacher-guided approach in instilling competencies necessary for effective oral communication that are integral to the students' success in the real world.
Written for the Grade 11 core subject, this book is meant to hone the students' thinking, listening, analyzing, and speaking skills necessary for crafting communication strategies in various speech situations the students may encounter.
The content of this book incorporates various experiences, input, and suggestions of Grade 11 students and teachers who used its first edition. This book hopes to serve teachers and students in the 21st century by leading them through the intricacies of human interaction, both on personal levels, for further global understanding.
